St Andrews Sea Swimming Pool by bulldog

St Andrews Sea Swimming Pool

You can just about see the rectangle of the sea pool, next to the sea lion enclosure. I was tempted to take a dip, but I forgot my costume.

Interestingly, this pool was originally where suspected witches were 'swum'. The witches had their right thumb tied to the left big toe and vice versa before they were 'swum'.

"Sounds like fun"
There was that short second I believed you were making a joke… But, hum…, how do you keep the sea lions from swimming-with-the-people, as it were?

(I’m reading Robert Rankin’s «The witches of Chiswick» at the moment. No ‘swumming’ so far…)

The sea lions are in the "Sea Life" centre and they have a pool just inside the fence.
