Rosa Canina

I didn't believe this was called Dog Rose, so I looked it up. Apparently it is, didn't seem right to me for such a pretty flower.

It's very pretty- maybe dogs like them for some reason or other. You could try typing in google, "how did the dog rose get its name?" and maybe you'll find out why.

Thank you. The name arose out of the belief in classical times that the root was a cure for the bite of a mad dog.
