The Aylestone Globe, can be found at Aylestone mill Lock on the Grand Union Canal. I'm not sure what the story behind is, I've tried Googling it but even the local authority don't mention it.

The posts of this "henge" have been carved with various symbols, poems and designs. The headers have "Aylestone Globe" carved into them. It appears to have been installed here in 2000 as there is a reference to the Millennium on one of the posts.
@wakelys Thanks for taking the time and trouble for doing that, it's has been here since the creation of Aylestone Meadows nature reserve, but I was very surprised that the city council hadn't included any write up on it. Its true about the carvings, I will go back with a macro lens and see what I can get. Thanks again.
