Visit to Ikea

Went shopping today to IKEA. I think IKEA is an iconic shop. With its yellow branding I had to figure out a way to make this my yellow theme entry. I managed to edit this using Serif Craft Artist. Not a proper photo editor, but I am quite pleased with the results. I would really appreciate any feedback on this shot. I am really pushing my boundaries in photography.

Great idea, and fab selective colour. The editing is great IMO. The only thing I would critique is the background is a tad distracting, but that's not something you could have done much about! I don't know what your aperture was; a wider aperture would reduce the depth of field and blur the background slightly. But as far as the editing goes, great job :)

@hehe1308 I absolutely agree about the background, but I only had on cheapo canon powershot a480 with me. The settings were f/4 ISO 125 and 1/80sec
I think a wider aperature would have improved the shot.

I'm not usually a fan of selective colour, but I think it works in this shot. Great job! I agree that the background is too busy, but for a quick snap it's great.
