I live near the Birmingham and Fazeley Canal and went for a walk in the rain this morning. I was hoping the rain drops ripples would show up but it would appear not. I took my old little compact camera that I have given to my daughter and to be honest I think she may have dropped it as all the shots I take on it are a little blurry! Hey ho.. Its a pretty shot of a bit of the history of our land. :)
@kwiksilver Now you are just showing off about how warm it is with you! @swguevin I had to try and unblurry it, so I used Picasa to sharpen it up. @definitelydeb I only go along the canal with a friend.. you never know who or what might be lurking behind a bridge! @tsquaret2 thanks :)
Not 'showing off' - promise!! Envying more like! Although we had a bit of a monkey's wedding day today. But heatwave predicted again from Wednesday! Sigh :(
May I ask ... how much sharpening did you do (in Picasa)? I can rarely see any difference when I try it - maybe don't have my default on a high enough setting? I do all my cropping and straightening in Picasa, but rarely anything else.
@kwiksilver I just slid the gauge up to about 3/4. Wasn't sure if it made any differnece but saved it anyway... I don't have enough time to fiddle about too much.. 2 kids and a business to run! :)
Ah, that's lovely. A really "English" winter shot. I used ot have a share in a narrowboat and this reminds me of the relaxing part of that and the slight panic that always ensued as we approached tight squeezes.
