Today A was enrolled as a Brownie at Church Parade. She collected the badges she had earned and was absolutely thrilled to be chosen as Seconder. I wasn't a Brownie but have since learnt that this is like vice captain of her team. I have a lot of sewing to do tonight!
It is lovely to be able to focus on something so positive today after sad new of the passing of my old friend and client. Rest in Peace Eric. Amiko did you proud
Your daughter is beautiful! I never was a brownie myself (well, I was for two weeks but then my mom got tired of driving me) -- but I did end up a girl scout leader when my daughter was that age -- from 1st through 7th grade!
I'm so sorry for your loss, and my condolences to friends and family.
@ariel817 thank you Linda. I tell her you said that.. she doesn't believe me when I say she is beautiful. Brownies is only about a mile and a half down the road, so its not too much trouble. :)
Well done, A! I love her impish look as well as the musical Alice band (are they still called Alice bands?). I was a Brownie for a few years, way back when - I think a Fairy, if I remember correctly. I certainly don't recognise any of those badges tho!
I remember sixers & seconders. My mum was a Brown Owl (pack leader) for many years.
Sorry about your sad news. It's good to focus on the positives in life at times like these.
I love your daughter's hairband, so very cool! sounds like she's already an excellent brownie, i was never in anything like that but was always jealous of friends who were!
I'm so sorry for your loss, and my condolences to friends and family.
RIP Eric. Big hugs to you, Calx. xxx
