Diary: Our first Bear Grylls Adventure

This photo links together several of last weeks photos, including the location on the map. On Exmoor, Devon. We set off Just after 8am to beat the heat of the day. It was nearly 6km and took us about 1 3/4 hours at a 6 year old pace. It was the girls first real experience of the wild and they comments on how we hadn't seen anyone. They slept in the car on the way home but are up for another adventure but on a cooler day :)

I couldn't decide which photo to use so check out my Randoms album http://365project.org/calx/randoms for another lovely photo.. if you have the time Iwould be interested to know which one you prefer and why. :)
Love the winding river. It's a beautiful part of the country.
Think I prefer this one. The stone wall is less 'man-made' if that makes any sense!

I like the other one but I think this one is much better. The composition is great, the scenery is lovely, great colours.

Tricky choice! I like the colours in this but prefer moodiness in the other. IMHO - I think this one would have been better if the river wasn't so dead centre :) And actually I don't like the granite-ish rocks in front. :( So my vote goes for the other :)

PS my Robbie is a HUGE Bear Grylls (armchair) fan!

Funny, I'm going to be opposite Gillian -- I really like the rocks in the foreground here, better than I liked the gate in the other one. And I think there's enough off-center things here (horizon, rocks, lay of the hills) to counteract the centered stream.

Tough choice! I love the vibrant green in this picture, but prefer the framing effect of the trees and fences in the other. Easy to understand it was a difficult choice which one to post.

@humphreyhippo @mcdermgl @kwiksilver @ariel817 @eyeseeu @summitnsmile Thank you for taking the time to comment guys... I think I have decided that photography is very much in the eye of the beholder... I still can't decide between them :)
