Children start back at school on Tuesday so today was spent getting everything ready uniform, pens and pencils etc. I am trying to be thrifty at the moment and I managed to convince my eldest that using last years pencils and pencil case is a good thing.. can't help but feel a little mean.
Sometimes I think we are programmed by all the adverts and peer pressure to have new when really what we have is sufficient.
Hence no new school shoes - their old pair still fit
Only minimal uniform purchase - the old still fits
