Manual mode - almost by calx

Manual mode - almost

Set the camera to Aperature priority and selected Macro Focus.. and this is the result. Looks much better on the camera screen, but for a first attempt I am happy. SOOC

Great detail!!! You can see every line on the wings.

Good detail. I like the macro focus on the bee. You are doing great. You'll get the total manual soon. I must admit, I use manual a lot. But sometimes I just revert to Auto to make sure I get the picture.

@calx Mee too, Calx. But I have learned a lot on this site. I still only have a bridge camera, but I am trying to learn to use it as best I can.

Wow, that's great! Well done! Certainly doesn't look like a first attempt - more as if this is something you do all the time :)

Nothing wrong with this, just lovely.

That's fantastic, I think you're being hard on yourself. I love the detail captured. My advice (dodgy things usually follow that one...;-) is to avoid using full auto or full manual and use the aperture and shutter priority modes. They have different strengths and are best used in different settings. Each to their own of course.
I am about to start backfilling with holiday snaps and will properly catch up with all of your shots but have just had a quick glance:-) Looking forward to getting back into my project.

I love your bee shot! I tend to use AP with macro zoom - you can get some fantastic shots from this camera.
