On our way to visit the Kykkos Monastery,we stopped off at the small monastery of Agia Moni.We were met at the door by the resident monk,Father Epifanou.Rosie spoke to him in Greek and we struck up a conversation.It turned out that Rosie and he have a mutual friend in the former mayor of Kos(who conducted Rosie and George's civil marriage ceremony)....a small world!!. He invited us into his private quarters,and one of the lady's who looks after him,made us greek coffee and glyko(a delicious greek sweet),and we chatted for nearly an hour.He presented Rosie with a book he had written,also a copy for his friend,and signed them both.A lovely man,we won't forget his hospitality(filoxenia).
