Oak Leaf Gall by carolmw

Oak Leaf Gall

This oak tree's leaves were covered with what I think,is a type of oak leaf gall.I tried googling it,but couldn't come up with anything definite. Many thanks for all your views, comments and favs, always much appreciated Many thanks, too, for putting my Michaelmas Daisy on the PP....which I also found on my walk.

'Silk button galls' laid by the silk button gall moth (Neuroterus numismalis) Each one contains a larva which will hatch into a gall wasp between February and April next year. Great shot of them.
