Ah...I wondered about the telephone...looked a bit old fashioned. Nicely framed.

This is a cool one, a very specific job, somehow I feel destined to disappear soon.

An interesting occupation. An nice photo. Good composition, lighting, detail, exposure. I have one non technical question to ask you. Are there not any women working in Italy? All the ones you seem to find with your camera are fit, handsome yong men? Perhaps, for the sake of Truth in Advertising, you should change the title of your series to HANDSOME YOUNG MEN THAT HAVE CAUGHT CATERINA’S EYE WHILE WORKING IN ITALY. Just saying...

@mbrutus Ah Ah! You made me laugh! this is an interesting observation. Actually now that you make me think of it, all the employees of the ski slopes that we have seen during this brief vacation were male. But starting tomorrow I will start looking for female workers and upload those photos!

@carolmw @golftragic @kali66 thank you for your comments. @taffy the telephone I believe serves for urgent communication between stations. The cable way or cable car or whatever the name is operated by pushing the red button.

@caterina Glad I could make you laugh. And thank you for your future plans. We guys would always appreciate a chance to see some more lovely Italian ladies, working or otherwise.

@caterina Cableway will last for sure, but I think new technologies will render that job obsolete. It's a bit like elevators conductors in the early 20th century. But maybe I am totally wrong!
