October 2023 - Beginning year 4. This wonderful community keeps me inspired and motivated to keep creating every day.

October 2022 - Beginning year 3. Originally planned as a one year project that I doubted I could finish and I'm still here. The community keeps me motivated and inspired and I am enjoying every minute of it. I no longer stress over posting an image the same day it was shot but I try to keep it within 2 or 3 days. I have decided to add a 3rd folder so that I can occasionally post pictures from my archives taken before I joined 365.

November 2021 - I am now several weeks into year 2 so maybe time to update my profile. I’m not sure what I was expecting when I started out but I didn’t think I would last more than a few weeks. What I found was a wonderful community of inspiring photographers who keep me motivated and excited about our craft. I can see why so many of you have been here for years and I am so glad I joined you.

October 2020
Well, I have taken the plunge and started a 365 project. It’s a bit daunting but I am looking forward to the challenge. I have explored the site a little and am inspired by all the wonderful photographs and am awed by the fact that many of you have been doing this for several years!
I have been interested in photography most of my life, on and off, but since I retired in 2012 and purchased a DSLR I have become passionate about it. I shoot mostly landscape but also enjoy sport and street photography. In my film days I was a Canon shooter so when I switched to digital I initially stuck with Canon but about two years ago I decided to go mirrorless and now shoot with a Sony A7iii, a Sony A6000 and a Fujifilm XT20. I live in Richmond, BC, Canada, I have 4 wonderful grandchildren and a Portuguese Water Dog named Sasha. They will likely show up in my project from time to time as they often become subjects for my lens.
