Years ago I taught myself how to knit and crochet (using CD roms!). I haven't touched my yarn in over a year (not sure how long actually) so when I saw a sign promoting free crochet and knitting classes at one of my local coffee shops, I took it as a sign. I recruited my cousin and partner in crime along for the fun.
Although I'm not new to either crocheting or knitting, it was nice to go back to square one. It reminded me of how much I did know and I appreciated learning new tips and techniques. I also had the chance to ask specific questions because I still have a lot to learn. I even figured out where I left off on a blanket I started and I'm excited to get back to it.
