Lovely purple flowers (purple groundsel I think) in the foreground with the refinery in the background. Some of those stacks are likely to be taken down when the refinery transforms to a holding tanks only.

I love Whangarei Heads and the amazing silhouette it provides when travelling north. Have never walked along Ruakaka Beach, but one day I will. I have a nephew who lives in Ruakaka.
