Pou whenua

Not a great shot - I had a long drive today and not much time to grab a shot. This is a pou whenua (carved post) that are at either end of the Kopu bridge.

I like the way they have these taonga now for new roads, etc.
How did you get on driving through Auckland?

@dkbarnett I like it too. Driving through Auckland was nerve wracking- I was fearful I would get turned around even tho I knew I had all the paperwork I needed….. I will feel the same when I return home next week no doubt!
