One of my goals for this year was to take greater advantage of my relatively flexible schedule by exploring and exercising outdoors as often as possible. This morning I caught up with my sister-in-law on a six-mile hike to and from the waterfall in Los Penasquitos Canyon Reserve. The waterfall itself was nice, but the trees and wide-open spaces were the real draw, both for my photography project and my spirits.
