Truth: I decided it was time to start branching out and trying some of the cool techniques I've seen displayed on this site. A lovely photographer (@LaLa) introduced me to the concept of "high key" photography so, after reading one brief tutorial on the topic, I decided to give it a try. This was the fruit (or flower) of my efforts. Let me know what you think and point me to any tutorials you think I should check out. Thank you!
I should explain that this photograph was taken out on the driveway in the late afternoon sun, a single rose plucked from a $3.99 bouquet from Trader Joe's. :-).
