She practices her guitar and I practice my photography. Amazing how turning off the overhead light and opening the shades transformed this shot.
Great shot and processing - you can't underestimate how well natural light will work!

Gorgeous light and composition. I always worry about cutting people's heads off, but there are times when it looks so good like here.

@graemestevens Thank you. And you're right! Sometimes it's just a matter of taking a moment to stop and see what my options are, especially when I'm trying to capture a "real" moment rather than a posed one.

@hayleymaxwell Thank you! I keep finding myself drawn to others' photographs that focus on things other than faces, so I've been trying to do that more, especially since my children are my primary subjects! Helps to add variety, I think, and challenges me to create a story without a face. I'm not always successful, but it's fun to try.
