As I've said before, my favorite family portraits are the ones where it looks like I just stumbled upon a special family moment and happened to have my camera with me. It doesn't hurt, of course, when the family is both adorable and color coordinated!

@alophoto@pistache@amyk Thank you! I'm happy to say this was one of the mom's favorite photos as well. I'm finding that it can be difficult for people to conceptualize a family photo that doesn't look like the typical "posed" photo that everyone expects. And not every family can comfortably interact with each other in a way that translates to a photo. But it's definitely fun to keep trying. I think it helps that I have no problem making a fool of myself if it means I get some smiles. :-)
