I'm not a big fan of busy. And this has been a really busy stretch of life, so much so that I've hardly picked up my camera. Unhurried is my preferred state of being and the only way I have the space to create and dream and enjoy all the things that make my life whole and meaningful. Every day there are a million things that will vie for our attention and fill up our hours, but for today, at least, we are shutting out the world, staying in our pajamas and savoring every moment together. And I even got to bake some muffins and, of course, pick up my camera again.
@linnypinny Thanks, Lin! This has been on my mind so much lately, especially as sports like Little League seem to take over our schedule. I told my oldest that I wasn't going to sign her up for anything this season so that we could spend more time going to the park or the beach and she actually cheered. I'm learning it takes a lot of effort to go against the tide and slow things down...
