Every year I do black and white portraits of our kids--last year I did three-quarter portraits. This year, I have this idea of doing large-scale portraits of just their heads and shoulders, looking straight on, up or out of the frame, with a bunch of white space at the top. To be honest, the idea was inspired by a print of a koala bear I saw at IKEA! I just need to figure out how to set up a mini-portrait studio in my house.
