The resort I stayed at this weekend was first built in 1926 in a then-remote part of the desert called La Quinta. The original buildings still stand at the center of the property and feature beautiful courtyards like this one...
@moonmtn Just east of Palm Springs. It was about 112 while I was there, but was projected to hit 120 yesterday when I left. I was there to write, so the heat was a good incentive to stay inside!
