Thanks a bunch you guys for the nice comments and some of the favs on the Periwinkle and Checkers shots!
Feeling green today...umm...not with envy though. haha. Even though green can be associated with jealousy, it is also associated with feelings of soothing, restful, even pleasing to the eyes when seen in trees and plants. Also, research has shown that the color green can actually improve a students reading ability. It may be because of the calming and relaxed state that the color puts us in. Then I should just stare at photos like this all day and relieve all the stress, right? :)
It was exciting to find a green backlit clover along with some green bokeh! Green's awesome and is my favorite color! :)
It was such a big surprise to come home today and see my clover and bokeh shot on the Pop Page!! With the warmest of appreciation for each of your comments I say thank you!! Also thanks to those who fav'd! :)
@carys - Thank you very much for the really nice comment and the fav Carys!
@vickisfotos - Thanks for this and all your recent comments Vicki!! I just got started and I'm already liking the look of the calendar too. It's a fun challenge.
one of these months I want to give it a shot too. Also, once I saw a calendar by Ellen Young where she had a line in every shot that made a line across the whole calendar. I have to try these ideas
@vickisfotos - Yes it's definitely a fun challenge! What helps me is that I plan ideas and subjects for my shots in advance, that way I'm not struggle to find the right color to shoot on that day. I've seen others do the line calendar too and I was like 'how did they do that and get the line so straight?' Looking forward to seeing the challenges you try Vicki. :)
oh that is a great tip to plan ahead. Otherwise, I think I would probably end up being really disappointed with the results. Thanks for passing that on!
@cornelialourens - Oh thank you so much!! I shot this about 6 years ago and it's still one my favorite photos of all time. So happy you enjoyed it. Thanks for the follow, following you too!
