I use a long lighter for creating many of my fire images this month. This is a close up of the flame coming out of the lighter. I was intrigued by that center piece there that gets really hot and you can see various colors around that spot. :)
@kt8ird - Thanks Kate! Yeah that fireball image is really simple using a lighter. I use a long exposure and while the shutter is open, I moved the lighter around in circles. Once the shutter closes, it captures a trail of fire! It's a really fun technique!
