Sour Patch Kids, a candy that is both sour and sweet! First produced in the late 1970’s in Canada, they used to be called martians to take advantage of the space enthusiasm of the 70’s. Then they transformed them into children to capitalize on the insanely popular craze of the Cabbage Patch toys in the 80s.
Not much has change since then. However, in 2013, they did add a new blueberry flavor. Wonder if he still feels like the new kid on the block? ◕‿◕
This is so cute and clever Chris, I love this!! I loved it to begin with but knowing the blue is the newer flavor makes it even more perfect! (I know I should know, but I rarely have eaten these and it's usually in a dark movie theater so I don't know colors!). :)
@mej2011 - Thanks Melissa! Sour Patch Kids are so much fun to take photos of. Maybe you can set out on the sidewalk and pretend they're playing. They also backlight really well so maybe set them up in front of a window which may make their colors glow. :)
@mej2011 - So sorry for not getting back to you sooner! No, I didn't use tape, they're standing on their own. I had to try several different ones until I found the ones that would stand. Usually it's ones that have a flat and wider base (or feet). Also, if they are too soft they might not stand so you can try putting them in the fridge for a little while. Hope that helps!
Thanks for your response!
