Today's photo is a sentimental one. I got a little teary while I was taking my pictures.
This is my grandparent's old smokehouse. They have both been gone for many years now, but I have wonderful memories of spending time with them. They lived next door.
The smokehouse was built around 1877, because that is when their house was built. It's hard to believe it's still standing. The lady that lives in the house now uses it for storage. I wish I could have moved the modern stuff out of the way for my picture.
When I was young, I was scared to go in the smokehouse, because my Granny told me there were snakes and black widow spiders in there. I am fairly sure she was right!
I thought about doing it in black and white, but decided I liked it just the way it is. It is SOOC.
