We had to go a couple of towns over today and on our way home we took a trip to a nearby lake. I was looking for new things to shoot. It was just above freezing here today, so imagine our surprise when we saw seagulls on the lake! We are about 500 miles from the nearest seawater. We got as close to them as we could and I happily snapped away!
Seagulls are amazing. I've seen them thousands of miles inland in Australia when the floods come to the inland lakes. This is a beautiful shot with the lovely reflections.
@girlie Thank you! I had seen an occasional seagull in a nearby town in a large parking lot, but I was pleasantly surprised to find this many on the lake.
