I found this pretty Hawthorn bush at my mother's house today. She has a green thumb, which I didn't inherit. I had taken several shots of the flowers, even breaking a tiny branch off to get a better shot. Then I heard the bee!. I chased that little bee all around the bush and got some fairly nice shots. This is my favorite. P.S. Please don't tell my mother about the tiny branch I broke off. :0)

I took a few close ups of bees and wasps last Summer, I was soo worried they'd sting me. They never use to bother me once upon a time, but then one wasp snuck up my shorts and stung 3 times on top of my leg when I was about 10.. ow it hurt! And then another wasp went in the hole in my jeans, on the knee.. and stung me just the other year. Horrible things :oP Look pretty from afar.. but not so nice! It's a wonder why my nickname for photos is LilBumbleBee haha!
