These cows were standing in a muddy pool of water when I first saw them. They live on the farm across from the house I grew up in. I thought they were going to run away, but I guess I was an oddity to them. I took pictures until one of them started snorting at me. There was a fence between us, but when I was 8 months pregnant with my youngest daughter, I was chased by a rather large bull and had to scale a fence. I'm just not too sure that I can do that anymore! LOL
Ha! Great picture and amusing story! The cows around here look pretty much the same but they don't seem to mind all the crud and mud. Funny, I had an Elk do some serious snorting at me the other day and when he lowered his head with that big rack pointing at me I decided our photo shoot was over. He was behind a fence but I'm not so sure it was substantial enough to hold him if he really wanted out!
I especially like the strawberry blond bovine. Bet it'd be tasty. Good photo for the first day of spring. Thanks for sharing.
