It has been a very long day! We have been under tornado watches and warnings all day. We have kept the phones busy checking back and forth with family to make sure everyone was safe. I was actually on the upload page when our power went off. It was off for two hours. I don't like to be out of touch with the news when there are storms around! We didn't have any storm damage, but there is a lot in nearby towns.
I only took about a dozen pics today. I took this one between storms. I didn't know the crane fly had one leg over his head until I looked at it on the computer. I was so excited when I took a pic of one a couple of weeks ago. Now that I've seen hundreds of them on my porch and around the yard, the excitement has worn off. :0)
I was so relieved when my father-in-law moved away from Jackson. Scared me constantly with all of those storms! So glad you are safe and didn't suffer any damage!
Great shot, too! Have you ever heard them called "mosquito hawks"? That is what we call them out here. LOL!
Incredible detail in this Carolyn - love the colour of the flower as well. So pleased to hear that you remain safe. I hope your family and friends do too. What a worrying time you are having with the threat of tornadoes.
If you aren't intending to publish a book, you should be. Your photos are so finely detailed and the colors are vibrant. The purple is extraordinary! In the meantime, get a crank radio so you can stay informed.
Aah, yea.. Daddy Long Legs here.. I don't like them very much - they look too much like spiders! :oP Fab detail though, love the colour of the flower, and the waterdrops there too! Alos very glad to hear you are safe!! Stay safe X
