The Black Swallowtail butterfly came out of its chrysalis this morning! It was really beautiful, but I didn't get a chance to get a pic. It was really ready to fly away. :0)
I haven't posted a cat pic lately, so I put one in my other album today. I'm trying to make up for yesterday's spider. :0)

Wow Carolyn, another magnificent butterfly capture. I will miss all these beautiful butterflies with the change of season, but your other photos are gorgeous as well. Enjoy autumn - I love that season as well.

Awww...too bad about the Black Swallowtail! But this one is so pretty! Love the colors on him. Yes, we will miss the butterflies once the weather takes a turn....so I am enjoying your photos of them now!
Us humans see those markings as false 'eyes' to ward away predators because we see the world as a fear-based organism, but what if they are just artistic and purely for fun and sheer beauty...??
