High alert

This little Downy woodpecker is a regular at my new feeder. He loves the suet. He was a tad nervous in this pic. The male Red-bellied woodpecker was higher up in the tree and the Downy was keeping a watchful eye on him.

I have a couple of these that have been to my suet recently. I love to watch them. They fly high on the tree and then 'walk' backwards down the tree to get to the suet. I haven't take a shot postworthy yet, but hope to soon. Nice shot here.
