Inching closer by cjwhite

Inching closer

I try to get as close to the birds as they will allow. Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't. A crunching leaf or even a foot shift can send them flying. The male Towhee let me get fairly close this morning.
Beautiful shot

Lovely shot!!

That's unusual too because they are so darned skittish. I'm dying to get a shot on the ground with them doing that funny leaf flinging trick to find their food!

I'm so impressed. My Towhee's live under some huge Junipers by my driveway and are very skiddish. I've never gotten a satisfactory shot. Very nice!

Such a lovely bird. I've never seen one before so this is a treat. I try to get close to the birds as well. Don't wear anything that jingles, creaks, squeaks, etc. Basically go barefoot and watch the ground. Fav.

beautiful image. it's hard to get a clear shot of a bird's eye when he/she has a black head --- well done!
