I captured this Hackberry Emperor butterfly while it was sunning on a leaf. This is the last shot of five that I got. I think it might be sticking it's tongue out at me just before flying away! LOL! :0)

You know... when I was in college and people did that. (stick their tongue out) we would always say.. don't do that unless you intend to use it... and walk up to them with our tongues out and wiggling.. LOL... nice shot .. and I don't care what he thought I love that you took the time to take it and share with us..
ha this is really funny Carolyn. I guess I knew they had tongues, but nothing as intricately pretty as this curly little bit! What a great capture. You must have been thrilled to check it out and find this gem.
