This was a rainless rainbow. Someone got rain, but not us. I was taking pics of my neighbor plowing his field when it appeared. It was beautiful, but a little eerie.
@christiehicks Thanks Christie. It didn't appear as I was taking this shot. I was actually taking a pic of him at the bottom of the field, because there were some cool clouds. I looked up and saw the rainbow and snapped as many pics as I could as he was working. :0)
Love the rainbow (but not lack of rain...we are getting a downpour, thunder and lightning right now as we speak....almost midnight Thurs night...we need it) I also love the jaunty angle the ground line is making and the tractor working, which you don't see at first. Just a lovely shot!
I know what you mean...that weird grey sky looks like bad things should happen, but then there's a rainbow...is it a trick? :-) We had the odd grey cast on my way home today, but not rainbow. Just some rain.
