Mrs. Cardinal by cjwhite

Mrs. Cardinal

There was no sunshine today. It was cloudy and windy.

This female Northern Cardinal blends in with the gray day, but she does have lovely red accents on her wings and tail.

Thank you so very much for your kind responses to yesterday's woodpecker pic!!! :0)

I've posted a pic of Mrs. Cardinal's mate in my other album.

January 18th, 2012
Amazing!!!!!!!!! What kind of lens did you use for this?
January 18th, 2012
@twinsplusone Thank you Sharon! I'm addicted to my Canon 75-300mm zoom lens. :0)
January 18th, 2012
@cjwhite Thanks Carolyn. Do you use a tripod? I just got a 70-300mm lens but can't hand-hold it still enough. :(
January 18th, 2012
gorgeous capture carolyn x
January 18th, 2012
@twinsplusone I don't use a tripod. It took me awhile to get used to how heavy the lens is! My husband got me a monopod for Christmas. The one time I used it outside, the cats were trying to climb it. LOL!
