Bigger than a butterfly

My day trip with the family was to the Nashville Zoo today. It was an awesome day! It rained on us on the way, but not at the zoo. It was cloudy and cooler and not very crowded considering it was a holiday.I took around 150 pics. I'll post some of my favorites in my extra album this week. :0)

I love the giraffes! I had forgotten how tall and majestic they are.

What a fun day trip! There's no where better for a photographer who likes nature than the zoo - I imagine you'll be checking your pictures for a bit. I love the ones you've posted. And a cloudy day is super for the lighting. Bet it was really a fun day.

Aha!! I just looked in the wrong order! Is Nashville near your home? I grew up west of Nashville in a tiny town called Waverly and did all of my high school music study at Blair Academy in Nashville. . .wonderful city!
