This is my first capture of an Eastern Meadowlark. I heard it, before I saw it and I had to see the bird with such a beautiful voice. I spied it on my neighbor's fence post. I got a few pics of it, but nothing very clear. It flew down into the grass and started singing. There was an electric fence between me and the meadowlark, so I tried to keep that in mind! He would pop up and down in the grass like a jack-in-the box. It was so funny! With his bright yellow coloring and constant singing, I could find him, but I got several pics of just grass. He was quick! :0)
Thank you so much for stopping by my project!!! :0)
He's beautiful. Even with the grass, his color and markings really stand out. I know I've never caught one up that close. I just stand in constant envy of how much detail you get in your photos.
Lovely bright colours and spot on focus! Especially considering all the grass around your subject. Great to see this in its natural environment. Fav for me!
