I was very excited to find this chrysalis. I've never seen one like it before. The shiny bits in the middle on the right side look like metal. I found one like it on bugguide.net. It's a Question Mark butterfly chrysalis. I'm going to keep an eye on it. Maybe I'll be lucky enough to see it open. :0)

Isn't it cool how you can see the pattern of the wings in the chrysalid? Wonderful find and capture. I hope you get to see it emerge too....and then share it with us!
