I was a tad confused when I saw this creature. I wondered where this snail left its shell. It's not a snail. It's a slug. I've never seen one this small.
You are lucky if this is the only slug you have in your garden! I have lots all shapes, sizes and colours and they appear when it is warm and has rained. Yuk I hate them as they eat all the tender leaves on my plants!
