These "playa" lakes are temporary wetlands of the high plains. With all the rain we've had there are thousands of them brimming with precious rain water. I am headed to Ohio to see my kids and help prepare for their baby in a few weeks. Bad news: on the plane, when landing in Dallas, we had a rough landing and my camera fell to the floor. Now it doesn't work! So all I'll have for a week is my camera phone. I'm glad I have insurance on my camera.
Nice shot of that precious water. So sorry about your camera. I recently insured my camera and two lenses, because travel can be hazardous! Glad you have that too.
