First Feeding by ckwiseman

First Feeding

These goldfish live in my little pond in the back yard. I don't feed them all winter, so on the first day of spring I threw out some food and they were ready to eat. One of my fish is 15 years old!
Wow, you must keep them very safe! A heron used to stalk my neighbor's pond.

What a neat shot - and how fabulous that you've been able to keep him alive for that many years. Imagine they liked knowing spring was here!

You must keep them safe as Danette @danette says! I know that if there are rocks underneath they can hide there away from predators!

Such a striking color of orange. I bet they're very entertaining to watch.

Sounds like they "hibernate" for the winter like our two desert tortoises do. We dont feed them during the winter either...... but when they came out of hibernation earlier this week, they were ready for a meal. One of your fish is 15 years old?? Whoa! What is the life expectancy?
