Nazareth House, Wynnum by corymbia

Nazareth House, Wynnum

This is what intrigued me: Dominating Tingal Hill is Nazareth House, originally opened in 1925 as an orphanage, but now operating as a home for the aged. This property was once the site of 'Mt Margaret', home of the former Premier of Queensland, Mr W. Kidston, before being purchased by the Archbishop of Brisbane, James Duhig, in 1918 for the Catholic Church. The home is administered by the Poor Sisters of Nazareth, an order of nuns founded in London in 1854 by Mother St Basil.

That is a lovely, well built building. Nice capture.
