Little poss

Each night, 2-3 possums play tennis on our roof. They do come and visit us during tea breaks and enjoy the odd, slightly mushy, spotted pear.

@maggiemae Of course it is live - and such a wonderful native creature living here in its home ecosystem. I don't like cats but I do like possums :)

@maggiemae @corymbia - with 90 million possums eating 3 million kilos of vegetation daily, I can understand why Maggiemae doesn't like Possums in her garden.

@bobfoto true ... in NZ. But here in Oz, I'd rather a possum eating my pawpaws than a cat shredding a bird in my backyard!

@corymbia - No, I agree. The possum in my shot I linked to had free range of my shed and garden, including the paw paws.

@bobfoto Jason has the statistics which can be so devastating in our NZ. However in Aussie there are so many predators, the possums that survive are so revered!
