There have been stirrings in the pond, so I thought I had better have a last attempt to get rid of the duckweed before the place gets filled with frogspawn!
Disturbed a newt, who happily crawled back under water. Then just as I was nearly done an amorous duo appeared mid clinch. This was I think the male a short time later.
I expect to see frogspawn in a day or so, more food for the newts!
