Today I noticed that hail makes a different sound when it hits a waterproof coat, where it makes a 'ping' sort of sound, where as when it hits the ground it makes a gentle whoosh sound.
When it hits your face and fingers, gentle is the last word on your mind!
Odd weather we are having, and apparently it is going to get colder, and then settle for being unsettled! Will this be the summer that never was?
