After a night of very heavy rain,
we awoke to beautiful blue skies and a very wet world!
In the morning it was a joint service at Christ Church - the first combined morning service I remember us having (apart from the one to mark the Jubilee)
Unfortunately the sky had clouded over before we left church.
In the afternoon we visited the park. The river was high, and a disgusting colour. A large tree trunk was trapped at the bottom of a weir, making a booming noise as it collided with the sloop of the weir as it rotated in the flow of the river.
The lake had overflowed, and was making its own way into a brook.
This was one of the access points to the fishing stations, which were also underwater. We were taking care not to walk out of our depth!
@positivemoments@angelamartel@rosbush@monkeykid Thanks! The lake had overflowed it's banks but the excess water was flowing into a brook, that feeds the Arrow, Alne, Avon - poor Tewkesbury! This is as much flooding as we get!
