Avenue

Trees in the late November sunshine.

Today we went to Packwood, to test out their newly built cafe. In honour of our presence, they rolled out the great and the good of the National Trust executive and a band that led them all on a short walk, presumably to honour the new pathway. From a distance, as they failed to invite us, it did rather resemble the Pied Piper of Packwood.

It was good to redo the lakeside walk, but just as we reached the immaculate formal gardens, the heavens opened. We beat a hasty retreat, first to the shop and then to the new cafe, and then to Kiddi to The Range...
