We ate at Kendall's this evening. We were sat by a cardboard cutout of Count Gregore, an iconic Oklahoma television star.
I remember the thrill when KOCO-TV, Channel 5, presented Nightmare Theater, featuring everyone's favorite ghoul, Count Gregore, who would announce the late-night horror movie. Of course, at that age, we only got to watch the creature feature.
The Count was accompanied by a cast of zany characters, with whom he plotted evil deeds that never seemed to work out the way they had planned. This was my introduction to classic movie monsters from Hollywood's golden age.
